Laura Wolvaardt

Long before opening batswoman Laura Wolvaardt impressed everyone on the global stage, she was selected in the Western Province U-19 girls' team when she was just 11-years-old. Within two years, she made it to their senior side. Wolvaardt made her ODI debut in early 2016 against England. Just four months later, the then 17-year-old became the youngest South African, male or female, to register an ODI ton, going onto post a match-winning 105 against Ireland. She was a part of South Africa's squad for the 2018 Women's World T20, also recently named in the squad for the 2020 edition.

In August 2016, Woolvaardt, at age 17, became the youngest ever South African, male or female, to score an international century.
